FOR THE THIRD YEAR EASTERN POINT COMMUNICATIONS DONATES TO TECHNOLOGY AT ST. MARY OF THE HILLS
(Jan 31, 2011) James Balestraci, President and CEO of Eastern Point Communications in Braintree, recently made a $7,500 donation for the purchase of 24 desktop computers to be installed into the technology center and an audio system for physical education at St. Mary of the Hills School in Milton. Eastern Point Communications has made over $35,000 in donations to St. Mary of the Hills School in the last three years.
Balestraci and his wife, Susan, are the parents of two girls currently in grades 5 and 6 at the school. "Eastern Point Communications is proud to continue to support St. Mary of the Hill School and its initiative to deliver the highest level of education. It gives us great satisfaction to provide 24 computer workstations for the St. Mary's technology lab that will help the students of St. Mary's for many years to come," said Balestraci.
The computers in the technology lab will enable students to continue to build upon their computer literacy skills as well as for integration of use across all areas of the curriculum. The current computers will be funneled into the classrooms for use by students and teachers. "Technology is bound to be within the future of our students, and this donation enables us to ensure a strong foundation for our students. I am grateful to Eastern Point Communications, for their continual commitment to our school's technology program," said Lisa Fasano, Principal.
This is the second donation to the school's annual Excellence Fund, which was instituted in 2009 as a means to support the Mission of the School and promote growth and continuity in spiritual, academic, and social development of the students, staff, and parents. The strategic focus for the 2011-2012 school year will be to continue to incorporate additional technology into the program.
